Pete Agnes is an Investor and Operating Partner with extensive experience across investment strategies and sectors, capital markets, M&A, finance, talent and leadership. He is currently Group Head of Portfolio Finance and an Operating Partner focusing on life sciences at B-Flexion, a private, entrepreneurial investment firm. Pete has also served in several interim roles across B-Flexion including Interim Group Treasurer and Interim CFO at Boston Pharmaceuticals where he led execution of the successful sale of the company to GSK for $2 billion. Before joining B-Flexion, he was a consultant with the global leadership advisory firm Egon Zehnder’s Boston office where he advised private capital firms, their portfolio companies and Boards of Directors on talent, leadership, and strategy. Prior to Egon Zehnder, Pete spent nearly twenty years as an investor including seven years as a Partner at Caxton Associates in New York where he focused on fundamental and event driven investments across public and private credit and equity. At Caxton, Pete served on the firm’s Partnership and Risk Committees. He began his career building and leading proprietary trading businesses at global banks.
Pete earned his BA from Dartmouth College and his MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is a CFA Charterholder, serves on the National Board of the educational access non-profit Minds Matter and the Boston Advisory Board of The Concussion Legacy Foundation.
